- Computer vision
Computer vision is the science and technology of machines that see. As a scientific discipline, computer vision is concerned with the theory behind artificial systems that extract information from images. The image data can take many forms, such as video sequences, views from multiple cameras, or multi-dimensional data from a medical scanner.
We have developed some of the projects in computer vision like
- Fire detection using RGB color values
- Facial feature detection using web cam
- Color blob detection(red, blue)
- Skin color detection using HSV color value etc.,
- Augmented reality
Augmented reality(AR) is a term for a live direct or indirect view of a physical real-world environment whose elements are augmented by virtual computer-generated imagery. It is related to a more general concept called mediated reality in which a view of reality is modified (possibly even diminished rather than augmented) by a computer. As a result, the technology functions by enhancing one’s current perception of reality.
- Computer Security
In concern with the security we are currently working with "Phishing", and in the field of computer security, phishing is the criminally fraudulent process of attempting to acquire sensitive information such as usernames, passwords and credit card details by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication.
We aim to try something innovative in order to identify the phishing site, though there are many toolbars like Net craft, Spoof guard and Spoof stick are available to do this.
- Image processing
Image processing is any form of signal processing for which the input is an image, such as a photograph or video frame; the output of image processing may be either an image or, a set of characteristics or parameters related to the image. Most image-processing techniques involve treating the image as a two-dimensional signal and applying standard signal-processing techniques to it.
We people are involved in projecting a 2d image into their respective 3d image, we have done some simulation already but in vain, still now we are trying to render it clearly.
